Our Story
Lambda Kappa Gamma Sorority, International℠ was not born out of trend; it was born out of necessity.
Felicia Nicole Christian saw something missing. In professional spaces, in faith spaces, in entrepreneurial rooms, and even in social circles, she observed brilliant women navigating life alone, accomplished, polished, ambitious women quietly craving authentic sisterhood. The higher she ascended, the lonelier it became.
Women who were educated yet exhausted.
Talented yet unsupported.
Connected yet unseen.
She recognized a gap between achievement and alignment.
There were organizations that celebrated status. Others that celebrated social bonds. But very few intentionally cultivated emotional intelligence, moral clarity, accountability, and professional support all within a sacred sisterhood framework.
And so, the vision began to take shape.
Lambda Kappa Gamma Sorority, International℠ was created as a refuge for women of substance.
Women who desire more than surface-level networking. Women who understand that true elevation requires refinement, self-awareness, discipline, and mutual responsibility.
This sisterhood was born to create a safe haven where women can be okay with not always being “on.” Behind the degrees, awards, and titles. Behind the glitz and the glam. Behind the smiles, pleasantries, and surface-level embraces, there is a place where you can remove the mask, admit that you are not okay or need guidance, prioritize yourself without guilt, and receive the support and counsel necessary to continue pouring into the world.
Too often, women carry the weight of the world on their shoulders while smiling and waving to passersby. Quietly tired, unraveling behind closed doors, with no one they feel fully safe turning to.
The founder envisioned a sisterhood where:
• Women sharpen one another intellectually
• Emotional intelligence is practiced, not preached
• Integrity is non-negotiable
• Excellence is the standard, not the exception
• Professional development is expected, not optional
She believed that when women are truly supported and not competed against, not merely tolerated, not politically aligned, but genuinely supported, they flourish differently.
Lambda Kappa Gamma Sorority, International® was formed to curate sacred spaces where transparency is strength, accountability is love, and success is authentically celebrated. It is sisterhood for women who are accomplished yet still evolving. Powerful, yet teachable. Grounded, yet visionary.
This organization exists because the founder refused to accept the narrative that women must choose between grace and grit, faith and professionalism, sisterhood and structure.
LKG stands as proof that we can embody it all with excellence.
And this is only the beginning.
Membership
Membership invitations are extended to women who are 25+ and have one or more of the following:

A bachelor or advanced degree from an accredited four-year college or university

A business owner/entrepreneur

A corporate professional (manager or above preferred)
-
A licensed professional (healthcare, law, ministerial, finance, education, real estate, etc.)

Proven leadership in non-profit or civic work

A New Wave of Greek Excellence Emerges Beyond the Divine Nine
Memphis, TN – February 1, 2026: A new generation of leadership is rising within the Black Greek-letter tradition, and it is expanding the narrative.
While the historic organizations known collectively as the Divine Nine have long shaped culture, community service, and professional leadership across the nation, a growing number of newly formed sororities and fraternities are carving out space for innovation, entrepreneurship, faith-based fellowship, professional excellence, and intergenerational impact.
These emerging organizations are not replacements. They are reflections of evolution.
Across the country, independent and non-collegiate Greek-letter organizations are forming to meet the needs of modern professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community builders who seek structured sisterhood and brotherhood outside traditional campus models.
